SEND THE LIGHT MISSION

 

What is Kenya Send the Light Mission? It is Dr. Elijah Koske’s  ministry which is requesting your support to start the following projects in Kenya East Africa:

1.      To build a Bible school which will serve to train laymen, pastors, Sunday school teachers, and others.

2.      To build and an Orphanage or

      Children’s home

3.    Evangelize, train, and plan churches in the Maasai area.

 

WHO ARE THE MASAI PEOPLE?

The Maasai is a tribe living in the highlands of Central Kenya and Northern Tanzania. They are very famous warriors whose lives are centered around herding cattle, sheep, and goats. They like to adorn themselves with colorful clothes and beads. Their wealth is measured in the number of cattle. Masaai are also known by their unique tradition and customs.   

 

Who is Dr. Elijah Koske?

Dr. Elijah Koske is a graduated of Luther Rice University in Lithonia Georgia. He is married with five children who are residing in Kenya.  Dr. Koske and his family are going to serve God as missionaries to the Maasai people of Kenya.

 

WHERE ARE THE ABOVE PROJECTS NEEDED IN KENYA?

 

Bible school is needed between the Maasai and the Kipsigis people. This Bible school will serve to train kalenjins, Kikuyus, Maasai and Kisis people.  

 

An Orphanage or Children’s home is needed in the Maasai area. Maasai is a remote part of Kenya located at Rift Valley highland Northwest of Nairobi. Though Orphanages are needed in many areas in Kenya, the Maasai people have greater need than others because they are in the remote part of the country.

 

Dr. Elijah Koske goals:

  1. Evangelism
  2. Church planting
  3. Training Maasai to reach Maasai
  4. Counseling

Other needs

 

1.      Theological books such as Bible Commentaries, Bible. Dictionaries, and other Christian books.

  1. Both New and Old Testament Bibles in English and Swahili language 
  2. Hymn books of any kind 
  3. Pastors and Laymen means transportations e.g. Bicycle, motor- bikes.
  4. They also need used or new computers, and typewriters.
  5. Generators and other things… 

 

APPRECIATIONS

I personally thank the Lord for the following:  Dr. Ken Martin and Grace Baptist Church family, Dr. Ron Long and Luther Rice University for a

vocational Bible courses at Sotik location,  and the main teacher Rev. Gilbert Fields (Chemosi) and his mission team, Rev. Joel Chapman and his team, and not forgetting all those who are supporting this ministry.   

(The Bible classes are now held in the home church of Dr. Elijah Koske because the school is not yet build)
